Department of National Defence Invests in Palitronica’s Supply Chain Defense Technology

Palitronica awarded contract to apply ground-breaking technology to safeguard critical operational systems.

Kitchener, Ontario, May 1, 2021 — Palitronica is proud to announce that we have been awarded a contract by Canada’s Department of National Defence to detect electronic threats embedded into military aircraft platforms.

The contract responds to a “Spot the Hack” challenge issued by the Department of National Defence to showcase new and innovative technologies to detect dormant threats in avionics networks and systems.  The contract applies Palitronica’s Anvil XV-1™ technology to critical avionics systems to identify the presence of embedded hardware threats, ranging from implants, semiconductor Trojans and counterfeits, that can be introduced through the supply chain.

Cyber-resilience is essential for national defense and national security, and we are proud that the Department of National Defence selected our technology for safeguarding Canadian defense platforms. We are excited to work with the Department of National Defence to apply our ground-breaking Anvil technology with unique detection and mission assurance capabilities to improve the cyber resilience of the Canadian Armed Forces.
